YDW is Full

Youth Dance Weekend 2010 is full. You can still reserve a spot on the waitlist, and we will let you know if a space opens up for you to attend the weekend. Last year we were able to let in a good number of people from the waitlist, but it depends on how many other people cancel. Here's how the waitlist works:

1. Register online or by mail. Note: you must pay the normal registration fee in order to be on the waitlist. Please do so as soon as possible.
2. If any spaces open up at the weekend, we will let people in off the waitlist in the order in which they registered.
3. If we don't have space for you at the weekend, we will refund your full payment on or before 10/1/2010.

If you sign up and don't hear from us within a week, please . Please read all the very useful information on the rest of this page before signing up to be on the waitlist.

Housing

Housing will be in rustic three-walled cabins or in tents (BYOT). See the venue page for more info. Tent space and cabins are the same price. Space will be assigned when you arrive. We'll also have housing available in single-gender cabins if you request it.

Food

Skilled YDW kitchen staff will prepare fantastic food emphasizing local ingredients, with vegetarian, vegan and omnivorous choices.

Pricing

We've done everything we can to keep down the cost of YDW. Our pricing structure is designed to make the weekend financially accessible, especially to young people. Here are the prices:

We won't be checking ID, but please be honest about your age. Use your age as of 9/24/10 to choose your price bracket. Each camper will be expected to pitch in with one hour of work during the weekend. Volunteer jobs range from kitchen work to floor sweeping to tending the fire in Ken's Lodge.

Deadlines and Cancellation

Registration ends July 31; all registrations must be completed online or postmarked by July 31. We cannot accept late or walk-up registrations. If you cancel your registration on or before July 31 we will offer a full refund minus $5. Between August 1 and September 1 we will offer a 50 percent refund. If you cancel after September 1 we will not refund your registration fee.

The fine print

Because of insurance policies, you must be 18 or older to attend. Farm and Wilderness is a strictly no-smoking, cell phone-free, and alcohol- and drug-free facility. We reserve the right to ask you to leave if you violate these rules or if you behave in an unsafe or inappropriate manner. Participants will need to sign liability release forms when they arrive for the weekend. Registration is first come, first served.

Please Note: by submitting your registration online or by mail you are affirming that you recognize and acknowledge there is risk associated with participating in dance and related activites and that you are physically fit to do so. You waive and release all claims, liabilities, actions, damages, costs or expenses of any nature whatsoever against the organizers, volunteers, callers, musicians and/or hosts at Youth Dance Weekend for injuries you, as the participant, might sustain, known or unknown, arising out of participation in YDW. You also agree to abide by all YDW and Farm and Wilderness policies and regulations. You will need to sign a separate Farm and Wilderness waiver form when you get to YDW.
