Youth dance weekend runs from Friday September 12 through Sunday September 14, 2008. Here is a preliminary schedule of events:

friday

5:30-8:00 PM - Registration
6:30-7:30 - Potluck dinner
8-11:45 - Contra Dance with Elixir and Nils Fredland
Midnight until whenever - Open jamming and clogging; dancing to open-mic calling and music

saturday

8:30-10:00 AM - Breakfast
9:00-9:30 - Open Waltzing
9:30-noon - English Dance with Naomi, Elixir and Sam Weiler calling
12-1 - Lunch
1-3 (two one hour sessions) - Workshops – topics include Calling, Working with a Band/Caller, How to get yourself on the board of your local dance, College Campus Dance Organization, Planning a Dance Program, and more…
3-5:30 - Afternoon Contra – Advanced style dancing with Nils Fredland and Elixir
6:30-7:30 - Dinner
8-12 - Evening Contra Dance—Elixir with Nils Fredland
Midnight until whenever - Open jamming and clogging; dancing to open-mic calling and music

sunday

9:30-11:30 - Open Waltzing
10-11 - Shape note and other Singing with Naomi
11-12 - Brunch
12-2 - Farewell Dance with Elixir and Nils Fredland
